Boffins have discovered that mutts most enjoy watching other pooches on the telly.
Their next best shows were car programmes and cartoons.
Researchers found 76% of our furry pals loved animations while 18% were entranced by video games.
Scientists now reckon they might have found a more effective way of testing dogs' eyesight by enticing them to watch TV.
Freya Mowat of the of University WisconsinMadison, said: "We speculate that videos have the potential for sustaining a dog's attention long enough to assess visual function, but we didn't know what type of content is most appealing to dogs."
The study looked at two years of data from 1,600 dog owners in the US, Canada, Europe, the UK and Australasia. It found pooches were decidedly less interested in shows solely involving humans.
But when a fellow canine popped up, the mutts would begin running, jumping and barking to show their excitement.
