ACTOR Robson Green was rushed to hospital after eating poisonous mushrooms.
The Grantchester star, 59, revealed he picked the dangerous funghi outside his home "not so long ago". The Soldier Soldier actor admitted he mistook them for edible mushrooms.
Robson, who lives in Hexham, Northumberland, said: "I thought, 'Oh they look like field mushrooms, and they were what you call imposters. I ended up in hospital."
Speaking on Weekend Escapes on BBC iPlayer, Robson said he was now "wary" of foraged food.
He added: "So then I just thought 'anything outside my garden I'm not going to pick, I need to be with an expert".
