GARETH SOUTHGATE has claimed moving to Saudi Arabia won’t bring down the curtain on Jordan Henderson’s England career.

But the Three Lions boss did warn he will have to assess how competitive the Saudi Pro League is.

Henderson, 33, sought out Southgate’s approval before switching Liverpool for a mega money deal with Al-Ettifaq.

The former Reds midfielder (left) has won 77 caps for his country since his debut in 2010. Southgate said: “We know the qualities he has, we know how much playing for England means to him. The question he wanted to know is, ‘If I move here will you rule me out?’.
