Veterinary nurse Helen Macdonald, 52, is demanding a public inquiry over the decision by Defra to euthanise the animal in 2021 after twice testing positive for contagious bovine tuberculosis.
Defra put restrictions on her 80-alpaca Gloucestershire farm in 2017 and she hasn't been able to trade since then.
Helen said: "Legal action is on my mind and suing Defra - not just for me but for all the other people who have been through the same ordeal"&nbsp;
A Defra spokesman said: "Our sympathies remain with all those with animals affected by bovine tuberculosis, a terrible disease which devastates farmers' livelihoods." They added it is important to "limit the risk" of the disease spreading.
