A 14-YEAR-old girl is battling lifechanging injuries after a suspected acid attack at her school. The victim and four others were hospitalised following the incident at Westminster Academy in central London. A 16-year-old boy and a 27-year-old woman were also injured when the “acidic” substance was reportedly hurled towards them on Monday. The boy was taken to hospital, but his injuries are not life-threatening. The woman has since been discharged. The Met Police launched a manhunt in a bid to track down the attacker, said to have been riding an E-scooter. Scotland Yard said: “Tests of the substance are ongoing. Officers believe it to be acidic. “Urgent inquiries are under way to identify and arrest those responsible.” Reports claim officers rushed to help school staff following the incident shortly before 5pm. The school’s website said: “Due to unforeseen circumstances the WA school site will be closed on Tuesday 1st October. “Students will resume lessons through online learning.”
