INDIE favourites Scouting For Girls have been trying to impress their kids by passing 80s hits off as their own.

Frontman Roy Stride is desperately trying to prove to his two children that he is cool.

So he has been claiming iconic tracks such as Cyndi Lauper's Girls Just Wanna Have Fun as one of his hit records.

Speaking about the covers album they recently released, Roy told me: "My kids, especially my son, don't get what we do.

"But they do love the 80s covers and that's because I pass them off as my own!
