PATRICK VIEIRA says Crystal Palace will not be going for the throat against Liverpool just because they got hammered by Real Madrid.
The Eagles boss reckons talk of the Reds’ demise is premature, despite their 5-2 mauling by Real in the Champions League.
Palace are only nine points behind Liverpool but they have not won since New Year’s Eve and Vieira will be taking a softly-softly approach.
The Frenchman said: “We have a lot of respect for Liverpool.
“We have to play the game with a lot of structure and a lot of discipline and focus.
“We are not looking at the result they had against Real Madrid and thinking that we are going to press and run and be everywhere at the same time.
