Both men missed Crystal Palace's 3-1 defeat at Aston Villa - Guehi through injury, his manager through illness - but their reunited presence gave the Eagles a bit more claw.
It was not enough to beat a determined Fulham, but Guehi was relieved to see his 76-year-old boss back on the touchline after a brief stay in a Birmingham hospital.
"It's great to have him back," said England defender Guehi, who earned widespread praise for his performances against Ukraine and Scotland.
