RAMPANT Chelsea challenged boss Enzo Maresca’s claim that his team are “not ready” to mount a title charge.

The Blues moved to within seven points of Premier League leaders Liverpool by sweeping aside bottom-side Southampton.

Saints had their captain Jack Stephens sent off for violent conduct near the end of the first half after he needlessly tugged Marc Cucurella’s hair.

Maresca shuffled the pack at St Mary’s, making seven changes, including a first start in goal for Filip Jorgensen in place of Robert Sanchez.

And goals from Axel Disasi, Christopher Nkunku, Noni Madueke, Cole Palmer plus Jadon Sancho’s first for the club had the away end singing, “We’ve got our Chelsea back”.
