THE good news is Harry Brook is committed to playing Test cricket for England.
The even better news is he may be eyeing up the captaincy one day, too.
English cricket’s real man of the moment collected his first century on home soil as Ben Stokes and his side wrapped up a series victory over the West Indies on Sunday.
And the traditionalists will be happy that Brook’s sights are fixed firmly on the red-ball form of the game.
He said: “I want to play every Test match I can for England.
“Test cricket and playing for England is my priority. I don’t want to think too far ahead – the Ashes is a long way away and we have a lot of Test cricket before then... my main focus is to stay in the moment and not get ahead of myself.
“Hopefully I’ve only just started... that could fluctuate either way.
