OLLIE CHESSUM says England must bin the excuses and get their attack firing if they are to contend for the World Cup.

Steve Borthwick's team made it two wins from two with victory over Japan but blamed a humid Nice night for not creating more with ball in hand.

That has not cut it with many fans who let rip at "boring" England - and Leicester lock Chessum acknowledges they need to be sharper to go deeper into the tournament.
