GLOOMY Britain will finally get to bask in a near 30C heatwave - but not for another nine days.

Forecasters say we could be set for a break from wind and rain, with temperatures of nearly 30C on the horizon before the end of the month.

They promise a North African plume will hit the UK around June 26, bringing a scorcher three days later.
