Verity Read and nine-year-old daughter Darcie are hoping to rake in a three-figure sum for the ready salted potato snack.
The crisp is 2.7in long and has an unusual diameter of 0.7in.
Verity, 43, said: "I have been getting loads of messages about the Hula Hoop. I must have had over 20.
"I knew when I saw it that it might be worth something." The snack has been put up for sale at &pound;100 on Facebook Marketplace. It was found in an individual packet that was part of a multi-pack of Hula Hoops.

Verity, from Wimborne, Dorset, has been stunned by the number of messages and offers.
She said: "Some of the messages I have received are hilarious.
"One person jokingly asked if they could swap it for a Monster Munch, while another said I was undercharging.
"I've had someone offer me &pound;95 but I'm holding out for three figures."
The world record for the largest Hula Hoop is 4in, held by Sam Lightfoot, from Barrow, Cumbria.
