A BLAST indicating the Titan submersible's implosion just after it went missing is said to have been kept secret by the UK and US.
Officials said the "large acoustic" signal was picked up on June 18, but they couldn't make the information public as it was "classified".&nbsp;
A UK naval source who has not been named to protect their identity, said "by definition" the information was secret and could not be put out to the media.
They also confirmed the&nbsp;signal was analysed by personnel from Britain and the US, adding: "I am sure you can imagine what those sensors are supposed to track and we share that information with our allies as required.
"While it would appear that classified systems may&nbsp;have heard noises detailing an implosion as with all searches, you have to remain optimistic until you can categorically declare to the contrary."
Five people died in the implosion of the vessel near the Titanic wreck on June 18.
