A BAKED bean superfan has closed his famous Heinz "museum" and says he will focus on finding love instead.
Barry Kirk, who legally changed his name to Captain Beany, opened the Baked Bean Museum of Excellence in 2009.
But after announcing the council flat-turned-shrine to beans would be closed due to renovations in February, the fanatic decided to auction off the entire collection - asking for a starting bid of &pound;5,000.
Captain Beany, 68, of Port Talbot, South Wales, said: "At this current moment in time, I feel a sense of deep loss as if it was my true good friend, almost human-like.

"I'd love to settle down with thoughts of sharing my very eccentric relationship with a future Tina Beans' - I have been an 'edible' bachelor all my life!"
