TRIBUTES poured in for TV star Jonnie Irwin last night after he died at 50.
The star of property show A Place In The Sun inspired millions of fans with his bravery as he battled lung cancer for four years before his death.
In a statement, his family said: "A truly remarkable soul, he fought bravely against cancer with unwavering strength and courage.
"Jonnie touched the lives of so many with his kindness, warmth and infectious spirit." Scores of celebs rushed to pay their respects within minutes of his death being announced.
His co-star Jasmine Harman, 48, said: "My heart is broken." Presenter Nicki Chapman, 57, added: "Heartbroken."
Jonnie, who also hosted The Renovation Game, was first diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2020.
Talking about the ordeal, he said: "I had to go home and tell my wife, who was looking after our babies, that she was on her own pretty much.
"That was devastating. All I could do was apologise. I felt so responsible."
Jonnie leaves behind wife Jessica Holmes and their three children.
