THE UK is being warned about raging Storm Kathleen as it batters the country with 70mph winds.
Forecasters said deadly gusts are more likely this weekend as they issued a new danger-to-life weather warning.
A yellow warning for wind in western areas is in place from 8am to 10pm today.
This includes the north west and south west of England, parts of Scotland and Wales, as well as Northern Ireland.

But Britain is also expected to record its hottest day of the year as temperatures could reach 22C in East Anglia.

It warned of injuries and danger to life from "large waves and beach material being thrown on to sea fronts, coastal roads and properties".
Road, rail, air and ferry services may be affected, with "longer journey times and cancellations possible", the forecaster added.
There could also be power cuts while mobile phone coverage could be hit.
