GEN Zers reckon being 10 minutes late for meetings is "on time".Almost half of Brits aged 12 to 27 are killing off the great British trait of punctuality by turning up late for the scheduled starts of work and social meetings.Experts have discovered Gen Zers reckon they are sufferers of a condition they call "time blindness" which they are comparing to attention deficit disorder.Laura van Beers from online firm Meeting Canary, which carried out a study on different UK generations' attitudes to time, said: "It appears that being 10 minutes late is now the equivalent of being on time, especially for the younger generation who are clearly more forgiving about time-keeping."Their attitudes have brought a new interpretation to the meaning of punctuality and for them good time-keeping is a flexible proposition." But Ms van Beers added older generations still prioritise the idea of being on time.She said: "Older people are much more likely to arrive five minutes early to make sure they are on time whereas younger people seem to aim to be not more than 10 minutes late in order to be on time."
