MAX VERSTAPPEN insists his father “is not a liar” as he defended him over his blazing row with Christian Horner.
The fierce tension between the pair spilled over in Bahrain and Jos Verstappen called for Horner to resign, accusing the Red Bull team principal of playing the victim.
Verstappen faced intense questioning over the fallout ahead of this weekend’s Saudi Arabia Grand Prix.
Asked if his father regretted the comments, the 26-year-old said: “I have not asked him that but my dad, from how I know him from go-karting, is very outspoken, and he is not a liar, that is for sure.
