A DOG proclaimed oldest has had suspended the world's his title after a probe into the colour of his paws.
Guinness World Records are investigating whether pictures of two different animals were used to verify Bobi's supposed aged of 31.
Photos of the Portuguese Rafeiro do Alentejo when he was young reportedly show him with white paws but in later shots they are brown.
Vets also expressed disbelief Bobi was 31 - the average life expectancy of his breed is 12 to 14. A spokesperson for Guinness World Records said: "While our review is ongoing we have decided to temporarily pause both the record titles for oldest dog living and oldest dog ever - just until all of our findings are in place."
