The comic, 55, said he wanted to follow Steve Coogan by playing a psycho after the star played Jimmy Savile in BBC show The Reckoning.
Lee told comedian Richard Herring on his podcast: "I'd like to play somebody that was pre-film, that there's no photographs of, because then no one would know if the impression was any good.
"I mean, I could do Jack The Ripper because nobody knows what he sounds like.
"I wouldn't want to do Jimmy Savile because it'd be a terrible impression.
"I'd be over the top. It'd be like, 'Calm it down a bit mate. You don't always have to wear the Jim'll Fix It badge and the rings and say jingly jangly."
