MADELEINE McCann's suspected kidnapper whipped a woman victim 20 times and made a girl sick during a series of sex attacks.
Christian Brueckner, 47, who German police claim snatched the three-year-old youngster in 2007, yesterday denied three rapes and two indecent assaults.
At a German court in Braunsch weig yesterday Brueckner shook hands and winked at his lawyer before listening intently.
The crimes, against five females aged 10 to 80, are said to happened on Portugal's Algarve coast from 2000 to 2017. The alleged locations are near the Praia da Luz flat from which Madeleine disappeared.
The court heard he allegedly raped tour guide Hazel Behan, who has waived her right to anonymity, as well as a woman in her 70s and a 14-year-old girl.
Ute Lindemann, prosecuting, said Brueckner used a drug to incapacitate his victims. He allegedly appeared in Hazel's bedroom dressed "entirely in black wearing a face mask"
Brueckner is said to have repeatedly raped her while armed with a 12-in blade. The trial continues.
