REECE TOPLEY says England and West Indies bowlers might have to suck it up and “take their medicine” on a surface pitch perfect for a batting showcase.

Record-breaking bowling performances have dominated the T20 World Cup thus far, with just three innings of 200 or more in the entire group stage.

But two of those have come in the last three days at the ground in Beausejour ahead of defending champions England meeting the cohosts in a battle of the big hitters.

The West Indies hit 218-5 against Afghanistan at the venue on Monday – the highest total of the competition to date – while Nicholas Pooran’s 53ball 98 also set a tournament record.
