MARK WOOD is ready to be unleashed alongside Jofra Archer as part of an England T20 World Cup speed trap.
Wood has finally shaken off the knee problem that kept him out of the first part of England’s warm-up series against Pakistan and is set to play tonight in the final game of the series at The Kia Oval.
With Archer likely to be given a run-out too after playing so little cricket over the past year, England could show a blisteringly pacy hand that Wood thinks could work in the Caribbean too.
“I have played with Jofra before and I don’t see it’s like ‘me or him’,” said Wood.
“We played together at the 2019 World Cup and things went pretty well.
