CHRISTIAN HORNER has accused Aston Martin of jumping the gun with their glitzy celebration of Adrian Newey's arrival.
The revered car designer was unveiled at their Silverstone base on Tuesday but will not start his new role until next March.
He remains under contract with Red Bull for now and team principal Horner felt it was inappropriate of Aston Martin to put on a show before Newey officially joins.
He said: "Adrian has always tended to do his own thing. Obviously, it was a big moment for that team.
"They chose to celebrate it perhaps potentially potentially slightly prematurely before he has finished his contract with Red Bull Racing."
