GARY O’NEIL says his brutal sacking by Bournemouth is part of football and his return to the Vitality Stadium is not just all about him.

The Wolves boss takes on his former club on Saturday for the first time since his summer dismissal by the Cherries despite steering them to Premier League survival.

O’Neil has made an impressive start at Molineux after being parachuted in just days before the new season.

But the same cannot be said for his Bournemouth successor, Andoni Iraola, whose side are second-bottom and winless.

O’Neil said: “I don’t link it to last year. It’s a completely new challenge in a completely different club and situation.
