NORTHERNERS have been warned to expect a soggy, breezy summer – while the South basks in sunshine.

Forecasters reckon the worst of the non-summer will impact those living in the North West, places like Manchester, Liverpool, Blackpool and Bolton.

But London and the wider South East can expect weeks of “very warm conditions” as the nation today expects 33C highs – well above average for July.

The Met Office said: “Into early August the weather will typically be dominated by a north westsouth east split.
