A NURSING duo have been branded "pure evil" after drugging stroke unit patients "for an easy life".
Senior nurse Catherine Hudson, 54, drugged two patients at the unit and exchanged vile messages with Charlotte Wilmot, who egged her on. She gave one victim, Aileen Scott, 76, an unprescribed sedative at Hospital, Blackpool Victoria Lancs, to keep her "quiet".
Hudson, found guilty in October of drugging Ms Scott and a second patient and conspiring to&nbsp;administer a sedative to a third, was jailed for seven years and two months at Preston Crown Court. Assistant practitioner Wilmot, 48, who was convicted of conspiring to drug the third patient, was jailed for three years. Ms Scott's son Brian called the pair "pure evil".
The court had heard they were reported by a whistleblower. Police found texts where Hudson bragged she had sedated one victim to "within an inch of their lives".
