Dyche says it is time for rule change

SEAN DYCHE Premier League claims all managers want to see the handball rule changed after Everton were beaten by a controversial penalty against Manchester City.

Assistant Lee Betts advised referee John Brooks to point to the spot when Amadou Onana blocked Nathan Ake's close-range shot with his arm.

The decision stood under the current rules because Onana raised his arm into an unnatural position, even though he did not intend to block Ake's effort.

Dyche was bemused by the call in City's 3-1 win and says every topflight manager wants the handball rules changed to allow for more common sense.

"Managers want to see a difference, especially when it's overpowering" said the Toffees boss. "The view on handball is overpowering.
