RICKY Gervais has joined celebrities begging Rishi Sunak to ban imports of lion paws and other hunting "trophies".
The comedian, inset, is among star names who have teamed up to urge the PM to introduce a bill banning such imports - a Tory election manifesto pledge in 2019.
Ministers have promised to introduce a bill in no fewer than four Queen's speeches.
They said: "Britons are a nation of animal lovers, and trophy hunting is a cruel, barbaric and outdated practice. You have not, we're sorry to say, lived up to your words."
Trophy hunting involves people on game shoots, many in South Africa, killing lions, giraffes, zebras, antelopes and other species.
A government spokesman said: "We are committed to delivering on our manifesto pledge."
