SIR Patrick Stewart fears he is shrinking after losing two inches in height.
The Star Trek icon, 83, said he has become shorter in the past two years.
And he admitted he talked to wife Sunny Ozell, 44, about it and she put it down to the ageing process.
Sir Patrick, who played Captain Jean-Luc Picard in the scifi films, said: "Somehow I've lost two inches over the past two years.
"I don't know how the hell it's come about.
"My wife, who's younger than me, significantly, has said, 'It's ageing - you shrink.&nbsp;I shrink? When will it stop!"
But despite shrinking, the Hollywood star, whose memoir Making It So is out today, said he is looking to the future and hoping to take on more comic acting roles.
Sir Patrick, who is also&nbsp;known for his roles in the X-Men films and 2021's Dune, said: "I've got ideas.
"Some of the comedy I've done, I've loved it.
"To be aware of people laughing at something I've done is the most satisfying thing.
"I like it more than crying - I've seen people crying. But laughter is glorious."
