Pizza Hut UK operates 152 out-lets and employs 4,000 staff. Last year its post-pandemic revenues surged to &pound;161m from &pound;130m in 2021. But soaring costs led to an operating loss of &pound;3m and a pre-tax loss of &pound;3.6m.
A spokesman said: "The outbreak of the war in Ukraine caused unprecedented and sustained inflation of energy, food and transport costs."
