AN investigation into potential criminal offences linked to the Post Office scandal will take until at least 2026.
Met Police Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley said an "exhaustive investigation" would take place.
Britain's top cop indicated that detectives would have tens of millions of documents to trawl through.
And he said the probe would only start after the public inquiry into the scandal, which is due to publish its findings late next year. Sir Mark&nbsp;also warned that proving criminal intent "won't be quick".
He added: "We have to prove that individuals knowingly corrupted something. You have to prove deliberate malice.
"We will do everything we can to bring people to justice if criminal offences can be proven."
