LANDO NORRIS has been dubbed a future Formula One champion for years and now, for the first time, is proving that he can produce the sort of form that wins titles.
Even before he blew Max Verstappen away in front of his own fans at Sunday's Dutch Grand Prix, McLaren knew that they were seeing their star driver's best work.
"He is performing at world championship level," said boss Andrea Stella, who then watched as Norris, 24, dominated proceedings at Zandvoort.
He may have won by nearly 23 seconds but his performance was not flawless.
