A GRANDAD attacked by an 11ft python was rescued by his wife's screams.
Rob Byrne, 61, was shutting his conservatory windows when he spotted the snake slithering through the blinds.
He said: "Its fangs nicked my arm and drew blood as it tried to sink its teeth into my arm.
"Once I shoved it away it withdrew across the conservatory, but it pinned me in the corner. My wife and granddaughter came in, saw it, and screamed. That must have spooked it because it slowly slithered out."
Rob, of Bishopstoke, Hants, blasted irresponsible reptile owners. He added: "Had it been my two-year-old granddaughter, instead of me, she'd now be dead."&nbsp;
The python was caught and taken to a rescue centre in Tonbridge, Kent. Its owner is yet to come forward.
