STORM Babet will strike again today after it wreaked havoc with high winds and torrential rain, killing three people.

A man in his 60s died yesterday after getting caught in flood water in Cleobury Mortimer, Shrops.

A 56-year-old driver died on Thursday evening after a falling tree hit his van near Forfar, Angus. Earlier that day, in the same region, a woman, 57, perished in a river, amid the evacuation of more than 400 homes.

A helicopter search was also under way in Aberdeenshire for a driver who was reportedly trapped in their vehicle overnight by flood water.

In Leeds, a Tui passenger plane arriving from Corfu "moved off the runway" in a terrifying landing in heavy rain at Leeds Bradford Airport - which later closed.
