Chocolate is off the menu after boffins studied the best way to feed space travellers on long missions.
They found the most nutritious meal could be created using ingredients that can be grown on missions.
According to the researchers from the American Chemical Society, the dish should include soybeans, poppy seeds, barley, kale, peanuts, sweet&nbsp;potato and sunflower seeds. They say it has all the vitamins and minerals needed to compensate for the extra calories burned in zero gravity.
A spokesman for the society said: "Astronauts in space burn more calories than humans on Earth and require extra micronutrients, such as&nbsp;calcium, to stay healthy during extended exposure to microgravity."
They said astronauts would need to "grow food in a sustainable, circular way within the spacecraft."
