VIRGIL Van Dijk expects to play a part in Liverpool’s transition despite there being no update on his contract situation.
The Dutch defender has just one year left on his current deal at Anfield which has sparked speculation about his future, with Kop boss Jurgen Klopp to depart this summer.
The 32-year-old insists he is ready for the “interesting” changes at the club with compatriot Arne Slot set to replace Klopp. Michael Edwards has also returned to a senior role with Bournemouth’s Richard Hughes arriving as sporting director at the end of the season.
Van Dijk said: “We are not quiet so we know things are happening but at this stage there has been no decision made [over the next manager].
