FUJITSU finally apologised for its role in the Post Office Horizon scandal yesterday.
The tech giant's European boss Paul Patterson said it was "truly sorry" for the "appalling miscarriage of justice" He admitted there was a "moral obligation" for Fujitsu to contribute to the compensation for victims.
More than 700 sub-postmasters were wrongly convicted of theft and false accounting from 1999 to 2015 due to bugs in Fujitsu's faulty system.
Mr Patterson told MPs: "We were involved from the start. We did have bugs and errors in the system. And we did help the Post Office in prosecutions of subpostmasters. For that we are truly sorry."

It came as ex-sub-postmaster Alan Bates, who led the campaign for justice and whose story was dramatised by ITV, said "everyone's going to be surprised about how much was known" early on by the Post Office and the Government about what was going wrong with the software.
And he added to the Business and Trade Committee that compensation schemes were "bogged down in red tape"
