NICOLAE STANCIU scored the goal of his life to set Romania on the way to a famous win in front of their raucous fans in Munich.
Stanciu, who plays in the Saudi Pro League for Damac, struck a sublime 20-yard shot into the top corner after Real Madrid keeper Andriy Lunin's blunder.
Lunin's clearance went straight to Dennis Man, who squared a pass for Stanciu to apply an unstoppable finish from just outside the area.
"It was the goal of my career," said the 31-year-old attacking midfielder.
"This shirt means everything to me. To score at a Euro finals and to win in the manner that we did, it's just incredible." A sea of yellow erupted in celebration and had cause to do the same twice more in the second half.
Razvan Marin scored eight minutes after the break, with Lunin again at fault, as he let a long-range shot squirm under his body.
