STARS rushed to pay tribute to "proper gent" Len Goodman after he died aged 78.
The Strictly legend passed away "peacefully" surrounded by family in a hospice in Tunbridge Wells on Saturday from bone cancer.
He was just six months into his retirement.
Rise to stardom
LEN Goodman was born in Bethnal Green, east London, and sold fruit and veg on his grandfather's stall.
