At Westminster Magistrates' Court yesterday, Khalife was charged with escaping custody at HMP Wandsworth on Wednesday.
Thomas Williams, prosecuting, said Khalife was accused of strapping himself to the lorry using "material which may have been from bed sheets".

The court heard fabric was found under the vehicle by police, with clips at each end and marks "consistent with someone having been there".

Khalife was arrested in Chiswick, west London, on Saturday morning by a plainclothes counter-terrorism&nbsp;officer. Khalife, who had been on remand at Wandsworth charged with terror offences, which he denies, is due to appear at the Old Bailey on September 29.
