THAMES 'BOMB' BOAT BLAST FEAR

A WARSHIP that sank in the Thames during 1944 could explode at any moment, surveyors have warned.

The SS Richard Montgomery - an American vessel carrying munitions for the allies in the Second World War - has been resting in the estuary at a depth of 49ft with 1,400 tonnes of explosives in the hold.
