BRITS are throwing house parties instead of having nights out to combat the cost-of-living crisis.
A poll of 2,000 aged 18 to 45 found 75% have attended or arranged home-based shindigs during the past 12 months.
A quarter have been to more of them than in the year before.
For 44% the biggest draw was saving money during the cost-of-living crisis as it is cheaper to sup shop-bought booze than in pubs, bars, restaurants and clubs. But&nbsp;39% said they prefer house parties because they know most of the guests.
While 44% said they enjoyed the more relaxed atmosphere.
The most important ingredient for the perfect house party was free pizza for 30% of revellers, found a study by White Claw.
Michael Dean, from the drink manufacturer, said: "Our research clearly shows house parties are back with a bang."
