Furious Paul Hayday wrote on X: "Are you sure it's not a cheaper option? What was the size of the old sausage v the new one?" And the "Caped Crusader", of Cornwall, posted: "I'm sure you've cut down from 4 to 3...Price hasn't changed." Costa Coffee said: "We've moved from four smaller sausages, replacing it with three bigger sausages to fit the bap for a more enjoyable experience." But consumer champ Martyn James, said: "I'm just not buying the 'three bigger sausages' line here.
