TWO teenagers died after have being stabbed in a brutal attack "by many people".
The boys, aged 15 and 16, were knifed in the street and left with fatal injuries when their attackers fled by car.
They were taken to Southmead Hospital and Bristol Royal Hospital for Children but both teens sadly died in the early hours of Sunday.
Neither boy has yet been identified and post-mortem examinations will be carried out later.
A 44-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy have been arrested in connection with Saturday's incident in Knowle West, Bristol, and remained in police custody last night. A vehicle has also been seized, police said.
Supt Mark Runacres, of Avon and Somerset Police, said: "This is an incredibly shocking and tragic incident where two young boys, who had their whole lives ahead of them, have sadly died.
"Our collective thoughts are with their families at what is undoubtedly a very difficult time!"
A heavy police presence remained at the scene yesterday as the force launched a murder investigation.
Officers were seen conducting house-to-house enquiries and gathering CCTV and doorbell footage.
