KEIRA WALSH has given the high-flying Lionesses another boost just a week after seemingly hobbling out of the World Cup on crutches.
The Barcelona midfielder stepped up her recovery as the squad trained in Terrigal yesterday.
It was the first time she had been back at the training venue since jarring her knee against Denmark eight days ago.
Since then, the Lionesses finally started to look like the reigning European champions as they thrashed China 6-1 to book a last-16 showdown with Nigeria in Brisbane on Monday.
Initial fears Walsh’s injury was to her anterior cruciate ligament were ruled out by the FA and she has been undertaking her own tailored programme.
