RSPCA fury at thugs shooting critters for fun

HUNDREDS of animals have been shot by thugs with guns, crossbows and slingshots in less than three years, new data shows.

The RSPCA has dealt with more than 800 reports of attacks on pets and wild animals since 2020-658 were shot by rifles or airguns, 124 blasted with catapults and 34 hit by crossbow bolts.

While wildlife suffered most attacks, 262 cats and 59 dogs were fired on.
