<p><strong>A WATER firm boss has sparked outrage for moaning about being branded the &ldquo;bad guys&rdquo; despite polluting our rivers and seas. </strong></p>
<p>Southern Water executive George Eykyn, pictured, made the comments despite the firm pouring huge amounts of sewage into seas and rivers while plotting a 60% hike in bills.</p>
<p>He groaned that it is not fair that staff are getting ear-ache for soaring costs. In a post on LinkedIn, he said: &ldquo;There&rsquo;s an increasing willingness among the public to abuse water company staff.</p>
<p>&ldquo;It seems that until we&rsquo;re [on] the other side of the general&nbsp;election, the shallow bad guy narrative is going to continue.&rdquo;</p>

<p>But Feargal Sharkey, campaigner and former&nbsp;frontman of The Undertones, ripped into him.</p>
<p>He said: &ldquo;Apparently reinvigorated by its&nbsp;own arrogance, Southern Water now pleads for sympathy and understanding &ndash;&nbsp;oh, and more of our cash.&rdquo;</p>
<p>Southern dumped&nbsp;raw sewage into rivers and seas in Kent, Sussex and Hampshire almost 30,000 times last year during wet weather.</p>
<p>The company declined to comment on Mr Eykyn&rsquo;s post.</p>
