CORK STILL AFLOAT

RELIEVED Cork found the answers in the second half to overcome Antrim in yesterday's All-Ireland preliminary quarter-final.

The Saffrons led at the break with James McNaughton and Keelan Molloy bagging goals.

But the Corrigan Park visitors had Darragh Fitzgibbon and Conor Lehane majors to thank for keeping them just one adrift having been outplayed for long spells.

However, Fitzgibbon drove them forward in the second period with Seamus Harnedy also coming to life as the Leesiders pulled clear.

That said, Cork grabbed 1-2 in stoppage 1 time as Antrim were committed to attack which gave the final score a bit of a false read.

Cork had goal in mind from the off and, when Tim O'Mahony pounced on a drop by Conal Cunning, his pass inside went all the way through to Fitzgibbon to finish.
